John was born in Dawley but had enlisted at Longton, Stoke on Trent.

He was killed in action on the 2nd Nov 1917 and is remembered on the Tyne Cot memorial Panels 92 & 93

Notes: John’s parents were Mr. John Davies Ball and Caroline Ball, they were publicans of The Vine Inn, 80 George Street, Sandford Hill, Longton, Stoke-On-Trent, and John Kendrick Ball worked as a “Beer Housekeeper Assistant” in the 1911 census.
